The Brain, The Beauty, & The Boss sums up Attorney Winn quite well. Winn is known for her leadership, authenticity, and ability to execute and deliver on unthinkable and hard to solve problems. Winn has a demonstrated history of being pragmatic and pushes her clients to the limits. The unthinkable and impossible is what she specializes in. She works best when her clients backs are up against the wall. Her firm values being honest with the facts, being straightforward with future outcomes, and encouraging clients to make self-care a lifestyle so that they can live a full & dynamic life.
Winn is a Saint Louis, Missouri native and proud graduate of Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, LA. Winn held several key leadership positions while at Southern including Vice President of the Student Bar Association, Chair of Student Affairs, the recruitment team, Executive Board of the Journal on Race, Gender, & Poverty, and coached her Moot Court team to nationals.
As a first time bar passage test taker in 2017, Winn immediately founded Winn Law Firm. Winn has had to overcome signifiant obstacles in order to achieve her personal, educational, and career success---as a first generation college graduate and law school graduate. As a result, she takes pride in entrepreneurship a bug she caught early on while watching her mother establish several successful businesses throughout her lifetime. Winn enjoys telling others how she was taught how to balance a check book, write checks, and run a business when she was just 9 years old.
Prior to becoming a practicing attorney, Winn received both her bachelors and masters from the University of Missouri. She worked for State Farm Insurance and the University of Missouri in several capacities. Winn is most proud of being selected as a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation "Emerging Leader" where she worked in the nation's capitol for a United States Congressman.
Winn is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, an Executive Committee member of the NAACP, recipient of the NAACP's flame keeper award 2019, tapped as first chair of the Boone County Bar Associations Black Lawyers Committee, and currently sits on the Missouri Bar's Leadership Academy team.
Winn is family oriented, change driven, innovative, and prides herself on being a millennial lawyer. Winn thrives as an advocate, mentor, and teacher to many. Winn believes on being well balanced, so when she is not in the court room she enjoys reading nonfiction and traveling.
